Neutral Vowel N4 uh is colored with N1 oo, to instantly minimize the vowel for speakers with foreign accents. N1 and N4 cross-color each other, as do N2 and N3. This technique is called Neutral Coloring.
The most often used American intonation pattern has a Jump Up / Step Down pitch pattern. Jump Up in pitch on the Operative Words to make them stand out, and Step Down in pitch on the words following them.
